Ana Bastida

Ana Bastida specializes in law, policy, governance, and international cooperation on natural resources, with a focus on mining and minerals. She is the author of The Law and Governance of Mining and Minerals: A Global Perspective, which explores a sustainability matrix for the study of mining law and engages with Agenda 2030 and the role of minerals in the “just energy transition.” Ana has also worked with many governments, intergovernmental organizations, companies, non-governmental organizations, and corporate institutions. She has participated in numerous major international initiatives that aim to transform concepts and practices in the extractive sector.
