The IGF, PDAC and WEF are excited to be hosting their annual Sustainability Forum, which will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, in advance of the 2020 PDAC Convention. The forum will take place in Meeting Room 105 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) at 255 Front Street West.

This year’s Sustainability Forum will focus on The Future of Work in the Minerals Industry. This highly interactive session, facilitated by the experts at Watershed Partners, will ask participants to think through and discuss how the nature of work in the minerals industry, from exploration through production and beyond closure, will change over the next 25 years. Participants will work together to explore what these changes will mean for a host of central challenges to the sector, including environmental health and safety; relationships among companies, communities and governments; technological advancements; and the social licence to operate. The constant focus of the discussions will be ensuring that mining continues to support the sustainable development of communities and countries in a rapidly changing context spurred by technological change.

Registration will open at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 29. The main event will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a networking reception held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
