Abdulrahman Al-Belushi

Saudi Arabia

Abdulrahman Al-Belushi serves as the Deputy Minister for Mining Resources Management in Saudi Arabia. He leads efforts to assess the kingdom’s mineral resources, allocate mining lands, and drive key national initiatives, such as the mining licensing rounds and the exploration enablement program. He is a board member of the Madinah Regional Development Authority and the Arabian Geophysical & Surveying Company. His past roles include work with Saudi Aramco Exploration, the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, and the Saudi Geological Survey.

Abdulrahman holds two master’s degrees in mineral and energy economics from the Colorado School of Mines and in petroleum economics and management from the French Institute of Petroleum. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in geosciences and in business economics from Penn State University.

Executive Committee

The Chair, six Vice-Chairs and the Director of the Secretariat (as an ex officio member), constitute the Executive Committee, which is the executive body of the IGF. The Chair and Vice-Chairs sit as representatives of their Member States.
